UP DOWN PLAYGROUND
My husband has been a professional photographer for as many years as I have been a
writer. We are working on a children's picture book together about playgrounds. It is
called Up Down Playground. It is fun to go to different parks and photograph
the kids at play. Did you know that slides and swings go both up and down?
UP AT TANIYA
Are middle names funny? Do you think yours is? The girl in one of my stories has the
middle name of Bernette, because her parents wanted to honor the memory of her great
grandfather, Bernard. She hates it! Can something be funny and hateful at the same time?
Her middle name is not her only problem. When her best friend gets sick right before
they are set to leave for sleep away summer camp, she has to go alone! How will she
survive two weeks at a rustic mountain camp without a friend?

I am also working on my first picture book biography for children called Shh! Don't bother me!
I have lots of reading and research to do before I can begin to
write it.
